Love embracement: An artist’s way.

At the studio, preparing the day

It is so easy to lose the way. I have been drawing since I can remember. One of my earliest memories is of a little kid sitting on the living room floor, surrounded by sheets of paper and coloured pencils. My grandpa would make his entrance, bringing more coloured pencils and more paper.

I could barely walk or speak, but I was already drawing. Then I grew up, and one day my mother asked me: ‘What do you plan to do for a living?’

‘For a living’ sounded at first so weird and eternal at the same time.

‘I will do anything related to painting and drawing.’

I studied Architecture. There was something captivating about playing with lights and shadows, the colors of nature reflecting on the walls. I found true joy in the act of creation. No matter what, years later, I return to the essence of that little child seated on the floor, just drawing.

The obvious path to happiness starts by loving and forgiving ourselves, and letting that little kid play.
